£50,000 still up for grabs!

We want to hear from sports & leisure providers, community organisations and private providers that are looking for funding, to develop sport and physical activity projects, that targets adults in the Wychavon area.

•       National Lottery funding aimed at providing sports & physical activity sessions to adults

•       Projects to be completed before 30th June 2016.

•       Projects must offer a minimum of six sessions and be based within the Wychavon area.

Projects so  far….

Have including dance for dementia, cardio tennis, rowing, table tennis, mixed martial arts, various fitness sessions, dragon boating, parkour, sailing, table-tennis, rock climbing, golf, windsurfing, canoeing, archery, futsal and belly dancing etc.

Running seems to be booming at the moment and so far we have funded/supported 6 ‘Couch 2 5k’ running courses attracting 119 new runners.  And have 5 new courses ‘up and running’ as we speak, to find your local run/dates/times please visit:

We have also funded a ‘Park Run’ (timed 5k run) in Evesham, which attracted a staggering 797 runners during its first  12 week period  and still attracts  100+ runners every Saturday 9am at Boat Lane, Evesham. W:

The feedback on some projects has been amazing. Eleanor attended the Couch 2 5k programme and emailed me to say:

‘I have filled in the survey and just want to say how incredibly I have benefitted from this course (Couch 2 5k) - it really has changed (and I think saved) my life. My job is dangerously sedentary and I knew I had to do something, this being provided free and the amazing supportive and inspiring coaching is very special. With huge thanks and appreciation’ Eleanor Creed-Miles

It doesn’t just have to be one sport either, it could be a mixture over the 6 sessions e.g. Week 1 Archery, Week 2 Yoga,   Week 3 Dragon Boating etc. Try something new each week. Eligible items can include coaching/instructor fees, training, transport, facility hire, marketing , equipment etc…

If you are looking for funding and have a project in mind, please contact Mark Williams for an expression of interest form and guidance notes.
