Week 4 of the Ambassador Evesham Football League saw plenty of League action as well as inaugural matches for some of our teams in Worcestershire County Cup competitions. The League were also piloting their very first 'Silent Saturday' campaign.

Under 18's Division

The Bidford Juniors vs Droitwich Spa Youth match saw Spa concede a penalty kick just 90 seconds into the game when the goalkeeper brought down the advancing forward. The spot kick was duly despatched by Matthew Barbor and as the half time interval arrived, both teams could look back at several missed chances. The second half changed considerably, as the game became littered with fouls & free-kicks and unfortunately on one of these incidents, it sparked a mass confrontation between the players, resulting in three players being cautioned. Bidford increased their lead to 2-0 with a close range tap in from William Green. However, as  tempers & fouls continued to increase, Droitwich Spa had two players sent-off, for 2nd caution offences and Bidford missed the chance to increase their lead in the dying stages from the penalty spot, when the Droitwich Spa goalkeeper produced a magnificent diving save to his left.  The game ended 2-0 and Bidford will no doubt be pleased with their performance and the clean sheet.
