We continue to struggle with postponements due to the inclement weather, with waterlogged pitches the biggest issue for our teams. On the bright side,  Saturday 29th November saw a few more fixtures played than the previous week.

Under 18's Division

Pershore Town Eagles caused a shock as they travelled to 2nd placed Broadway United Youth and came away with a confident boosting 3-1 win which moves them up the table. Goals from Brent Barnett, Elliott Morris and James Price put Pershore firmly in the driving seat.

Welford Juniors hung on for a 2-1 win at home to Droitwich Spa Youth with goals from David Fawcett and the ever reliable Elliott Whittle. Both home goals came in the 2nd half to give Welford all 3-points.

Under 18's County Cup

Congratulations to Wychbold Wanderers who overcame JPL side Evesham United Youth 3-2 in the Semi-Final in a pulsating cup match at Evesham United.  Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Noel Talbot's boys put in an incredible shift in the second half to pull the game back in their favour with goals from Bradley Talbot, Jamie Wall and Josh 'Benteke' Jones.

Congratulations to Wychbold Wanderers who will be flying the 'Amby' flag in the Final.

Under 16's Division

In the Crowle Searchers v Welford Juniors match, Both teams were grateful to Crowle for offering to switch the game to Lower Moor, bathed in sunshine!  A well-contested and good spirited game saw Crowle take an early lead after Toby Tuzinski had made three fine saves. Henri Murray-Holgate started well in Central Midfield and Welford were indebted to two goal-line stops by man-of-the-match Joe Nicholls. Wheeler and Brant have the makings of a great central defensive pairing and skipper Reece Markey sparkled in his new central midfield role. Scott Barnett impressed on the right-side of midfield but couldn't reduce the arrears.  It looked like a low scoring game so when Crowle capitalised on a defensive mistake, the game was settled. Welford failed to take their chances to reduce their deficit and Crowle deservedly took the three points.

Under 15's Division

Evesham United Colts sent out a statement of intent for a title push as they ran out 4-0 winners over mid-table Welland Junior Lions. There were another 2-goals for Will McGarr and one each for Robert Rojek and Edward Whittaker. The Colts POTM was awarded to Matthew Meynell.

Shipston Excelsior and Welford Juniors fought out a really entertaining 2-2 draw, with Stan Dube and Will Taylor both finding the net for Excelsior.
