Welcome back to everyone in what was our first full fixture schedule of the New Year.

U18 Cup

The remaining Quarter-Final tie was played as Wychbold Juniors faced Broadway United Youth.

Both sides went into this cup match on the back of some good league form and with Wychbold's long unbeaten home record at stake, could Broadway make in to their 2nd U18 Semi-Final in three seasons? The windy conditions certainly proved something of a leveller on the big School Road pitch, but it was the home side who made the telling break-through in the 1st half with goals from Callum Goddard and Brad Knight to put Wychbold 2-0 up at break.  Broadway's half time team talk saw the away side looking for a quick goal to get back in the game, but they were denied by some good goalkeeping. As the 2nd half progressed, United continued to take the game to their hosts but some resolute defending combined with some more good saves, ensured that Wychbold kept a clean sheet and sealed a place in the Semi-Final where they will face Lower Teme Lions.

Under 18's Division

Top of the table Pershore Town Eagles went into their match away to Bidford Juniors, with a highly impressive winning run of 6-matches, stretching back to the start of November last year.  However the 7th win didn't arrive, as a hard working Bidford side deservedly took a point from leaders in a thrilling 3-3 draw. The home sides goals came from George Mills (2) and a penalty from Matthew Barbor while the Eagles scorers were Charlie Joyner (2) and Brent Barnett.
