As if the persistent rain wasn't bad enough, the latest fixture schedule was severely affected by frost and in a few cases, snow!

As we highlighted last week, many of our teams have not played a competitive game for nearly 3-months, so it is easy to understand why retention levels are decreasing and some teams even struggle to find 11 players each week. There are no easy answers as to how things may improve short-term, but obviously hiring an artificial surface and staggering kick-off times to allow two or even three matches to take place could be helpful to both the League and those teams who are already facing a busy period of midweek matches after Easter.

Under 18 Cup

Crowle Searchers Crusaders booked their place in the Semi-Finals with a 6-1 win over Cookley Sports. The Crusaders were clinical in front of goal as Matt Mitchell, Sam Tufft, James Jones and a hat-trick from Oluwatobi Ipaye made it a miserable morning for Cookly, whose consolation goal came from Dan Taylor.

Crowle Searchers Crusaders will face the winners of the Droitwich Spa Cobras vs. Broadway United Youth tie. This match is scheduled for next Saturday and we can only hope that the weather improves so that this goes ahead as planned.

Under 16 Cup

Malvern Town Wanderers claimed a cup upset as the Pool B side defeated their Pool A opponents Drakes Broughton Rangers 2-1 at Malvern Vale Community Centre.

Malvern's reward will be an away match to Pool A opponents Evesham United Colts or Tewkesbury Town Pumas.

Under 14 Cup

Ilmington United cemented a Semi-Final place with a 4-2 home win over Littleton Juniors.

Under 12 Cup

Pershore Town travelled to Ilmington United and came away with a 3-0 victory to seal their place in the Semi-Finals.
