Saturday 12th March: Action all the way!

The sunny morning meant we were rewarded with a near full-set of fixtures.

Under 18 Cup

Cup holders, Wychbold Juniors showed their resilience to confirm a 2nd successive cup final appearance but they were made to work all the way as opponents Broadway United Youth took the game into extra-time before bowling out 3-2 in a high intensity match.

Under 16 Cup

The semi-finals saw wins for Evesham United Colts and Welford Juniors but unfortunately we have no further match details from any of the teams involved.

Under 15 Cup

Alcester Town Juniors triumphed in their Semi-Final tie where they will face one of the Westbury sides in the Final.

Under 13 Pool B

A Declan Holmes goal wasn't enough for Cradley Sports as they lost at home to Eckington Juniors Eagles. The other Eckington team, Eckington Juniors Phoenix, didn't fair so well as they lost away at Droitwich Spa Vipers, as Matthew Simms got two of the Vipers goals.

Under 13 Pool C

Pershore Town Piranhas drew 2-2 at home to Welland Junior Colts, Declan Gleave on target twice for the hosts.

Bretforton Juniors lost 5-3 at promotion chasing Warndon Villages Dragons, in a very entertaining end to end match. Harry Putnam got two of the Bretforton goals taking him to 17 for the season.

Under 12 Pool B

Oakenshaw Lions remain in pole position after a 4-0 win at 3rd placed Moreton Rangers.

Under 12 Pool C

Inkberrow Falcons showed their prowess in front of goal as they won away at Droitwich Spa Kestrels. Nathan Harrison-Wells hit 4-goals for the Falcons, while Daniel Eccleston got a consolation goal for the Kestrels.

Two second half goals from Ash Naciri and Hubert Pufka weren't enough for Littleton Juniors as they lost 4-2 away at Tewkesbury Town Pumas.

The deadline for signing players has now passed and with the Easter break fast approaching, we would ask any teams with a back-log of fixtures to speak with your opponents to see if any of these outstanding matches can be re-scheduled as quickly as possible, especially our U18 teams, who otherwise face the prospect of several midweek games near the end of the season.
