Saturday 19th March: shocks and surprises!

The morning's action saw a few surprise results as we enter the ‘business end’ of the season.


Under 18 Cup

Crowle Searchers Crusaders proved their giant-killing credentials as they won 4-1 at title chasing Inkberrow Eagles. Joshua Massey and Sam Tufft gave the away side two first half goals and the Crusaders made it a semi-final to remember as James Jones and Matt Mitchell increased the lead. The victory brings a cup final date with Wychbold Juniors.

Under 15 Pool A

Westbury Celtic Tigers had two hat-ticks to celebrate, as they won 6-3 at Alcester Town Juniors. Joshua Farnsworth and Drew Tulley were players in hot form in front of goal.

Under 15 Pool B

Nunnery Wood Kestrels lost 7-2 at Broadway United Youth, Kieron Robinson with both goals for the visitors.

There was nothing to separate 2nd placed Droitwich Spa Tigers and 3rd placed Evesham United Colts as honours were even in a 1-1 draw, Louis Watson getting the Spa goal.

Lenches FC stay ahead of the chasing pack with a comfortable 5-1 home win, Shears (2), Bille, Fleming and Grubb all on target.

Pershore Town Warriors won 6-3 at home to Bromsgrove Meadows in a game full of excitement. The Warriors scorers were Wigley (3), Shephard, Banks and Wagstaff, while Meadows Crane (2) and Hargreaves found the net.

Under 13 Pool A

Newtown Sports Juniors are confirmed as Champions as they won 3-1 at Blakedown Colts. Goals from Cameron Butler, Joshua Dickenson and Joseph Jackson sealed the title for the Malvern based Club.

Eckington Juniors Ospreys' Nathanial Durrant hit both of his sides goals in a 2-1 win against Moreton Rangers, Henry Smyth got the away teams only goal.

Ilmington United enjoyed a 4-0 home win with Fred Barnard and Harry Cronshaw getting two goals apiece.

Lenches FC hit three first half goals to seal a 3-2 win at Shipston Excelsior, Taylor, Vaughan, Price-Ward with the important goals for the away side.

Under 13 Pool B

Welland Junior Lions sealed a 5-0 home victory with goals from Grogan-Southam (2),Cousins, Hodgetts and Sparrey.

Under 13 Pool C

Westbury Celtic Youth continued their fine form with an emphatic away win. Evan Ward was clinical in this one as he hit five of the seven Celtic goals.

Welland Junior Colts kept a clean sheet and all three points as Benjamin Leah got on the score-sheet.

Under 12 Pool A

Warndon Villages Colts lost 2-1 at Leigh & Bransford Badgers Orient, Silva got the Colts only goal.

Alcester Town Juniors took all the points in a 2-0 win at Pershore Town with goals from James Barnes and Liam York.

Under 12 Pool B

Badsey Rangers lost 5-2 at home to Leigh & Bransford Badgers Palace, Andrews and Kirby with the home goals.

Evesham United Robins' Luke Hulme struck a fine hat-trick in a 3-1 win at home to Crowle Searchers, whose lone strike came from Tom Bryant.

It was a 10-goal thriller at Moreton Rangers as the home side eventually ran out 6-4 winners over Welford Juniors. Lots of goalscorers in this one, but the pick was four goals for Toby Stevens from Rangers.

Tewkesbury Town Colts got their first league win of the season with a 3-1 home win over Ilmington United. Saul Fox gave Town a 1-0 lead at the break but Ilmington levelled minutes into the second half. Tewkesbury didn't let this knock their confidence and the lead was restored when Fox grabbed his 2nd goal of the game with a tremendous 25-yard volley. The game was put beyond doubt when Cole Notley came off the bench to grab Town's 3rd goal from close range.

Under 12 Pool C

Droitwich Spa Kestrels enjoyed a convincing away win as a Luke Payne hat-trick was the pick of several goalscorers.

Worcester Colts 2-0 win at Littleton Juniors keeps them top of table, goals from Coppen and Smith sealing all 3-points.
