Sunday 31 January 2016

It was a day for the cup games to get interesting. We have had 3 of our teams move to the final of their retrospective cups and 1 to the semi-final of theirs.

In Division 1 we had one game played which was a 3 all drawer between VKL and Coldstream. Sam Osmond, Ste Spenser and Dan Hill scored 1 each for VKL with Jake Booton scoring 2 and Jamie Larner scoring 1 for Coldstream.

Millfield Rovers have secured themselves a place in the final of the Hunt Crane Cup after beating Royal Oak 7-0, 4 goals coming from Neil Dews and 3 from Dave Cummings.

Red Lion have confirmed themselves a cup final place after beating Winyates 5-4 after extra time in the Studley Charity Cup. 2 goals each from Dan Bearcroft and Kingsley Smith and 1 from Jord Harrison saw them through. The Studley Charity Cup Final will be Beoley Village v Red Lion.

Austin Ex Apps saw themselves move to the Semi Final of the BCFA Roger Wood Memorial Cup after beating Lamp Albion from the Warley District Sunday League 5-0 with another 2 goals from Andy Nicol.

This afternoon (2.15 KO) Black Horse beat Grange Athletic from Kidderminster & District Sunday League 5-4 on penalties after the score being 3-3 at the end. This puts them in the final of the WFA Sunday Premier Cup which is due to take place on Sunday 3 April.
