Bretfortons third draw of the season saw them come from a goal behind to gain a point in this ill-tempered game against Hereford.

Always a tough opposition, Hereford stole the ball from the start & made it tricky for Bret to break them down.

Both teams were error prone on a slippy pitch but when Hereford fired a ball into the Bret 'D' it took a wicked deflection off a pink defending stick & flew past keeper Vicky Watkins - leaving her no chance to save it (honest).

Brets energy levels were high this week & they showed a dogged determination not to give up on this game and this showed with a vastly improved display in the second half.

The nerves were beginning to show on both sides and when Bret had a player sin-binned for dissent, surprisingly, it was Hereford who's discipline descended quickest into the gutter.

Although being a player down Bret piled on the pressure & were awarded several short corners - one of which was swept in by the perfectly placed Sophie Hamilton for the equaliser.

Captain & player of the match Sarah Cook not only produced some outstanding defending - easily snuffing out any attack from the Hereford goal-hanging forward but also kept her team in check with wise words at crucial periods of the game.

Many, many thanks to our amazing supporters this week - it couldnt have been an easy game to watch and - as always - the umpires - without whom we could not even play the game.  Thank you again
