The League returned to a busy fixture schedule with a few surprises along the way:

Under 16's Division

Two of the leading four teams met each other, with Alveston travelling to Badsey Rangers.

Although Alveston had won the previous league meeting between the sides back in September, Badsey had gained revenge by disposing of Alveston in the Cup in October.  With six months since the teams last faced each other, an intriguing match was in prospect at Ballards Park. In a somewhat scrappy 1st half, the teams went in -0- at the break however 2 minutes into the 2nd half, Badsey's Tyler Lupton put the home side 1-0 up  with an accurate finish.  As the 2nd half went on, both sides played some excellent football and the next goals was going to be crucial, but with chances at both ends in was the home side who gained the upper hand as Nathan Bolland (who has recently returned from the Dallas Cup representing Worcestershire Schools FA) put through Tyler Lupton and from an acute angle, bagged his second goal of the game to take him to 17 for the season.  In the closing stages, Badsey increased their lead to 3-0 from a Ryan Attwood free-kick which tames the team to the top of the table with one league game to go. Another interesting statistic is the fact that Badsey goalkeeper James Smith has now gone 665 minutes without conceding a goal, the last one going back to January!

In the other 3 Saturday matches there were plenty of goals as Broadway United Youth & Tewkesbury Town Colts both won 3-2 away, while Ilmington recorded a 6-2 home success. In midweek action, Pershore Town's 7-0 home win made it 17 matches unbeaten, in a terrific run that makes next Saturday's Cup Final with Badsey Rangers a potential cracker of a game.

Under 15's Pool A

In the midweek games, there was a major shock as high flying Evesham United Panthers lost 3-1 at home to Droitwich Cobras, to dent their title hopes. There was no such slip at Drakes Broughton Rangers, as leaders Tewkesbury Town Colts took maximum points to stretch their lead at the top.  Inkberrow Eagles remain second following their away win at Evesham Juniors.

In the Saturday action, Droitwich Cobras made it 2 wins in 5-days as they kept a clean sheet to overcome Evesham Juniors 1-0 and Alcester Town won 4-3 in an end to end match at Drakes Broughton Rangers.

Under 15's Pool B

Congratulations to Sheppey Swifts who sealed the title with a convincing win away at 2nd placed Westbury Celtic  Youth. With Westbury having completed their league fixtures, they now await the result of next week's Crowle Searchers & Sheppey Swifts match in the chase for Runners-up spot.

It was all action at South Redditch, as home side Bromsgrove Meadows edged a thriller with Welford Juniors to edge the match 3-2.

Under 14's Pool A

Drakes Broughton Rangers have given themselves a terrific chance of claiming the Runner-up position as they came away from league champions Evesham Juniors with a fantastic 3-3 draw. Drakes' now need one win from their remaining two games to claim 2nd spot.

Under 13's Pool A

Shipston Excelsior had mixed fortunes as they lost at home to league champions Alcester Town Juniors in midweek, but their Saturday game saw a 3-2 success away at Littleton Juniors.

Under 13's Pool B

Alcester Town Rangers faced two difficult away matches as they lost to Westbury Celtic Tigers & Lenches, but they will be hoping to sign off on a high with their final league match this Thursday at home to Broadway United Youth.

Under 13's Pool C

The league season was completed as Westbury Celtic Spartans won away at Wychavon Wanderers.

Under 12's Pool A

There must have been a few nerves in the Badsey Rangers camp as they travelled to Evesham Robins and came away with a narrow 2-1 win, which guarantees at least the Runner-up position. However, victory in their final league match at home to Alcester Town next weekend would secure the title, so there may be even more nerves around in a weeks time!

Shipston Excelsior made in four wins on the bounce with two victories in just 3-days! Even more impressive was that both wins came on the road at Littleton & Bidford.

At Alcester Town, the home side made a winning return from their 4-week break.

Under 12's Pool B

Newly crowned champions, Welland Junior Lions completed their season with an emphatic 6-1 win to give them a very impressive 100% winning record throughout the season. The big question is can the Lions reproduce this form in the top tier next season?

Under 11's Pool A

Champions, Welford Junior Pumas signed off in style with another convincing home win which sees  the Pumas unbeaten at home throughout the 2013/14 season.

Under 11's Pool B

Bidford Juniors narrow 1-0 home win lifts them to pole position but having completed their league season, Eckington Eagles 3-1 win, means the Eagles could overtake them as they have two games remaining with a 4-point gap.

Crowle Searchers had mixed fortunes in their two home games, as they lost 4-2 against Sheppey Swifts but put this behind them to pick up 3-points against Inkberrow Eagles.

Under 11's Pool C

Droitwich Scorpions home win over Evesham Colts secures promotion & the Runner-up trophy.

It was goals galore at Pershore Town as the home side lost our 5-3 to Littleton Juniors, while Bretforton Juniors & Welford Panthers picked up a point apiece in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Under 10's Pool A

It's still all to play for as the top two,  Bidford Bombers & Eckington Juniors both won at home.

Under 10’s Pool B

it came right down to the wire as the top two teams met each other and a 3-1 away victory secured the title for Sheppey Swifts. Opponents Ilmington can take some consolation, as they are Runner-up and have one game still to play.

Under 10’s Pool C

There was a shock at recently crowned champions Welford as they lost at home to Inkberrow Eagles. This puts the Eagles level on points with Broadway United Youth and with both teams meeting each other next Saturday, a victory for either side will secure the Runners-up trophy.
