Week 2 of the Ambassador Evesham Football League and there were plenty of goals hitting the net around the grounds on a sunny Saturday morning.

Under 18's Division

Welford Juniors made it 2 wins from 2 games  as they ran out 5-0 winners over Bidford Juniors, as goals from Jack Cousins, Robert Fawcett, Nathan May and two from the ever reliable Elliott Whittle did the damage.

Pershore Town Eagles remain unbeaten with an emphatic 9-1 triumph over Pershore Town Falcons.

Despite goal mouth scrambles and opportunities for both teams to snatch victory, the game between Evesham United Colts & Wychbold Wanderers finished all square at 0-0, with both probably glad of a point.

Droitwich Spa's poor start to the season continued as they were humbled 2-5 by Broadway United while Crowle Searchers recovered from last week's surprise defeat by winning 7-0 at Lower Teme Lions. The home side struggled to cope with Crowle's fire-power up front as Isoac Nelson helped himself to a hat-trick, Daniel Kerr got a brace and there were single goals for Oluwatabi Ipaye & Matt Mitchell.

Under 16's Division

Alcester Town were in devastating form at home to Badsey Rangers as Dylan Parker's 5-goals and a Ben Oakley hat-trick helped them to a convincing victory.

Another player to hit 5-goals was James Creswell for Sheppey Swifts who also won comfortably.

In the other matches there were away wins for Inkberrow Eagles, Droitwich Spa Cobras & Westbury Celtic Warriors, while Evesham United Colts won at home.

Under 15's Division

Evesham United's Will McGarr was unstoppable as he hit 5 of his sides 8 goals at home to Shipston Excelsior, whose solo reply came from Marcus Gibson-Brandreth.

Sheppey Swifts ran out convincing winners at home and there was also a home victory for Wellend Junior Lions. On the road, there were away wins for Lenches & Inkberrow Eagles. The only draw was at Malvern Town Wanderers as the home side were held 1-1 by Welford Juniors.

Under 14's Pool A

Westbury Celtic Tigers had four different scorers in their 4-0 away win at Bidford Juniors. Tigers' Luke Cooper-Sargent, Joshua Farnsworth, Reiss Hadley & Jack Ward all on the score-sheet.

Alcester Town ensured back-to-back wins with a 6-1 home success, Droitwich Spa Tigers held on for a 2-1 win over Broadway United and Eckington Juniors came in 3-1 over Nunnery Wood Kestrels.

Under 14's Pool B

Goals from Callum Ford (2), Owen Bradley, James Webster & Mason Woodfield gave Droitwich Spa Pumas all three points.

At Bromgrove Meadows, the home side found their socring touch as they won 7-1 with goals from Harry Crane (3), John Hake, Ethan Randles, William Thurston & Jordan Hargreaves.

Under 13's Pool A

Badsey Rangers held Welland Junior Lions 2-2 at Ballards Park in an entertaining match but unfortunately a home spectator had to be spoken to by a Club Official towards the end of the match due to his breach of the RESPECT codes of conduct.

This followed an earlier incident, where another spectator had also been spoken to during the game by a League Official, with the spectator insisting that the RESPECT codes are a "joke". This is certainly not the behaviour we wish to see at any of our matches, so if parents are unable to conduct themselves in accordance with the Codes of Conduct we would prefer it if they didn't attend matches.

Under 13's Pool B

On a brighter note, Ilmington United travelled to Littleton Juniors and captured a 2-0 win. The goals came from Sean Bennett & Edward Righton, with the later being awarded his teams POTM award.

Under 12's Pool A

It was an end to end match at Badsey Rangers as they faced Bidford Juniors, but the home side bagged three points with a Harry Putnum goal. POTM awards went to Zac Phelan (Badsey) and Michael Cross (Bidford).

Under 12's Pool B

Moreton Rangers sealed consecutive wins, as they survived a scare to defeat Littleton Juniors 3-2  with goals from Jordie Colome, Harley Millar and Henry Smyth.

At Shipston Excelsior, two goals from Dylan Williams and a goal each for Oscar Hair, Connor Murphy and Arlie Williams sealed a 5-1 home win.

Shipston Excelsior hit 7-goals away from home to take 3-points as Conor Murphy, Dylan Williams and Harry Langford all scored two goals each.

Under 12's Pool C

Bretforton Juniors secured a convincing home win as Ethan Rimmer hit 6-goals, with the hosts POTM awarded to  Thomas Millar.

Droitwich Spa Vipers won 3-1 at Inkberrow Eagles, with Luca Russo grabing another two goals to take his tally to 5 in two games.  Matthew Simms got the all important 3rd goal on 51-minutes.

The game between Pershore Town Piranhas and Crowle Searchers produced 8-goals in a pulsating match, with Crowle taking the points with a 5-3 final score. Louis Hira scored 4 of the Searchers goals and was awarded his teams POTM award.

Under 11's Pool A

Claverdon made a winning debut in the AEFL with a 4-2 away win. Goals from Liam Watts and a remarkable 9-minute hat-trick from Jamie Spiers sealed the points.

Under 11's Pool B

Stratford Town Colts Blues got their season underway with a trip to Badsey Rangers.

The Blues raced into a 3-0 lead with 2-goals from Lucas Brennan and a Leon Underhill strike. However the home side staged a terrific comeback before 2-goals from Stratford's William Holland sealed the match 5-2.

Welford Juniors Finlay Meuller took his teams POTM award in a 7-0 home victory.

Under 11's Pool C

Evesham United Robins enjoyed a 4-2 home success with goals from Finlay Armento, Luke Holme, Reagan Martin and Antonio Pirelli.
