Swindon left with egg on their face

Bretforton gained another invaluable three points in Premier League 2A against a tough, physical and skilful Swindon team.

In a game that ebbed & flowed throughout, Swindon had a flurry of short corners in the first half that the solid Bret defence managed to keep out.

It was Bret that made the breakthrough however when a goalmouth scramble saw the ball pop out to Hayley Whitehouse who made no mistake and simply smashed the ball into the back of the net.

Bret continued to push on &, egged on by her teammates, Deb Slatter came close to getting their second goal & Whitehouse was denied another by a fabulous save by the Swindon 'keeper.

Swindon refused to give up the game though & it was an amazing tackle from Bret player of the match - Daisy Wheeler - who literally poached the ball of an opposition stick in a last ditch tackle to deny the visitors an almost certain goal.

Bret bravely hung on though and managed to keep hold of all the points and in all fairness, probably deserved to !

Next week sees the Pinkies away to City of Bath with whom they are currently tied with in second place in the league - should be a humdinger of a game !!
