Sunday saw 8 boats take to the water for the 4th race in the Arden Burgee series, with a good breeze from the west.

Simon Newman in the Solo made a good start with Keith Stevens in hot pursuit in the Comet. The pair showing a clean pair of heels to the rest of the fleet. Further back new club member Angie Graham took an early bath on lap 2, complaining bitterly that the river was too cold for swimming in September. She recovered the boat at the 3rd attempt and continued to the finish.  Newman maintained steady progress at the front breaking away from Stevens to gain a clear win by 2 minutes.

The second race of the day was the 10th in the Strensham series. With the series working towards a conclusion limited opportunities remain to gain a win. With the wind dropping Niall Campbell in the laser took off from the front of the fleet making the most of each gust as it came along to establish a clear lead on the water that he took to the finish line. However, as the wind filled in from behind the fleet made a swift return allowing David Bryden in the Heron to claim victory when the boat handicaps were taken into account.
