Littleton came away from Atherstone feeling that they should have taken at least a point in what was a very close game.

Littleton had the wind and sun on their backs in the first half and made the quickest start JAMIE INSALL going close in the fourth minute.  Then a fierce freekick from SIMON FITTER was clawed away by the home keeper.

Atherstone also created oppotunities LEE CHAPMAN burst through by HAYDN WHITCOMBE  in Littleton's goal made a smart save.

At the other end STUART HALL through ball set up INSALL who was just wide with his shot.

At the start of the second half Atherstone kicking down the slope laid siege to Littleton's goal and

WHITCOMBE made two super saves to keep Littleton in the game.

However the opening goal came on 57 mins a close range effort following a corner.

Littleton pressed and what looked like a cast iron penalty against HALL was turned down.  What made matters more frustrating for the visitors was that following the incident Atherstone were awarded a penalty at the other end immediately after.  This was duly converted.

Littleton fought hard and pulled a goal back in the 88th minute STUART HALL converting.

There was still time for the hosts to be awarded a second penalty which WHITCOMBE saved.

Littleton have a day off on Saturday, but the following Tuesday are away to ALVECHURCH in the Worcester Senior Urn.
