Fourteen Parishes took part in the Parish Games Bowls, sponsored by Pershore Bowling Centre, which took place on Sunday at Bredon Bowling Club.
The teams were split into two groups, with the winners of each group playing each other in the final.  After a number of very close games, Bredon and Badsey & Aldington emerged as winners of the two groups.  This was a repeat of last year's final, but the result this year went the other way, with Badsey, whose team included 11-year-old Josh Rushby, beating Bredon.  Eckington were 3rd, ahead of Crowle in 4th and Broadway in 5th.  Other parishes taking part were Fladbury, Hill & Moor, Bretforton, Drakes Broughton, Honeybourne, Defford, Wick, Wyre Piddle and Inkberrow.
The knock-out events are now well under way, with Bredon having already reached the semi-finals of the Ladies' Darts.  Most of the other events are now at the quarter-final stage.
Next Saturday, the Angling, sponsored by Discount Tackle, will take place on the River Avon, and a good entry is anticipated for this event
