The weather once again tried to get the BDFL in a head lock but we managed to get ourselves out of being strangled and successfully completed 11 game with the numbers of postponements only amounting to single figures; It could of been a hell of alot worse!
Only one place to start this week and that's to celebrate the County Cup wins that our representatives achieved today, with the 3 sides who travelled to Worcester all coming back with impressive wins! Bartley Green Sunday playing their first game in 4 weeks, expected a tougher game than they got against Worcester Saints in the Junior Cup, running out comfortable 7-1 winners at a blustery blowy Pitchcroft. Connor Collins netted his first hat-trick for the club, with Colin Tandy, Carl Martin, Ryan Gardiner and Alex Mitchell all on target too. Northfield Athletic also ran out comfortable 6-0 Junior Cup winners at St Johns despite not putting in a fluent performance for the second week running; However their firepower remains pretty impressive and still allowed them to get into a three goal half-time lead from which they never looked back. Goals in this one coming from Josh Moore (2), Aaron Westwood, Scott Taylor, John Jackson and Reiss Brians. The trio of wins was completed when Bromsgrove Corinthians travelled to Powick, this in the Minor cup and they ran out impressive 5-2 winners with centre stage going to Tom Mason who netted a hat-trick and a brace for Alex Beck; Good to hear the Corinthians got going in this game early stamping their authority on a Powick side who are most definitely not mugs having had a fine win over Colletts Green the week before.

In the WA Harris Cup, Division 1 side Chaddesley Corbett made it through to the second round with a 3-2 home win over mid-table Division 2 side Bromsgrove Brentnal, goals coming courtesy of Lewis Phillips and the in-form pair of Ted Bayliss and Alex Dugmore, but they made hard work of it; Having gone into a 3 goal lead, there seemed no way back for a depleted Brentnal, for whom Colin Webb once again came out of retirement to don some boots, but they managed to claw back two goals through an own goal (possibly claimed by Lee Robinson) and a wonderful John Kirby strike but it wasn't enough and Chadds now have a home tie against Arrow Valley to look forward too in 2016 as their reward.

The LMS Shield received another semi-finalist today (3 out of the 4 now known) as Alcester Town won their last group game to clinch a semi-final spot; GLA were the victims of an Alcester goal rush as Richard Briggs's men delivered a 9 goal blast without return. Braces for free scoring Ellis Kalach, Lewis Marston and Jay Gifford, with Aaron Xavier, Dean Hay and Shane Hancox getting one each. Alcester killed the contest in the first half scoring six first half goals. The dead rubber game between Spa Athletic and Thomas Brothers in Group A went the way of the Premier side, Stuart Hall's brace added too by Ross Kendall and Ryan Stirling. Hopefully all involved had a good run out despite very little other than pride being at stake.
The Bridgwater Cup semi-final line up was also completed today, this after the final group game in Group B where Awkies Allstars blew the chance to make the semis, losing 2-0 at home to Chaps United for whom impressive Chaps striker Paul Dowsett netted two early goals to knock the stuffing out of the Bears and secure Chaps as the group winner. Chaps used all their experience to close out the game without any dramas and they now face a trip to Hizza United in the semi-final, with Callowbrook Green hosting Meadow Park in the other match, it will certainly be an eye-opener for Meadow Park to visit the Boleyn Road Bowl 'facilities' given the plush surroundings of Harris Brush Works!

In the Premier Division, Oak Tree Sporting were indebted to some early saves from their goalkeeper Ben Gardner as they eventually ran out 3-0 winners against Lickey End Social, Lickey still not knowing how they were denied by Gardner's excellence in the sticks. OTS forced themselves ahead just before the interval though when Rory Milbourne won a penalty which ice-man Danny Fogarty then slotted home. The returning David Marsh netted a second in the second half, after fine interchange play by Lee Jagger and Milbourne, it was then left to Fogarty to complete the scoring with his second and the team's third late on to secure the three points.

In Division Two, Hewell ran out 10-3 winners against Bridgefield with the Bridgefield goals coming from Matt Cash, Jordan Ward and Aaron Harris, whilst in Division 3, FC Bromsgrove secured their second league win of the season as they beat Laburnum 5-2 with the latter being rooted to the bottom of the league. Pat Sullivan hasn't had much to cheer about this season but goals from Mark Smith, Paul Pell, Damion Blakeway, Martin Bonar and Anthony Bate put a huge smile on his face. It would have taken a hardy soul to predict Laburnum's season would fall apart as it has, given their success last season, but let's hope they can pick up a win or two before the season is out. Meanwhile Callowbrook Green travelled to AFC Millfields and emphatically beat their hosts 9-2 with a match going ahead for the first time in weeks on Sidemoor. Jimmy Ward and Jack Steele dominating the scoring netting five and four goals apiece, there was also a few assists for Luke Wyatt. Millies battled hard but their cause was not helped by the cheeky chappy, Jay Nickless, being sent off for a DOGSO offence as Callowbrook swept forward effortlessly, the win taking them up to third in the table.

At the time of writing, the exact composition of next week's fixture list is not known with several alterations and amendments needing to happen. Please keep checking our websites for details and if you can't do that, then click back here next Sunday where we will round up the action!
