Bidford-on-Avon Tennis Club's Junior Tournaments took place over a long weekend recently. 

The Under 16 Boy's match between Adam Farrow and Alfie Lovell took 2 hours to complete on the Friday evening, Adam being the eventual winner of a tightly-fought match and being awarded the Warner-Budgen's Shield. 

The Under 12's tournament, played on the Sunday morning, was won by Alex Beach with the runner up Michael McDermott. Alex received the Bidford Garage's Shield. 

This was followed by the under 8's Tournament, organised as a Round Robin by the club coaches James Marsh and Madeleine Golby. This was held on the Sunday afternoon, the winner being Reeve Carter with Alexander Golby the runner up. Reeve was also awarded the Dewsbury shield. 

Other trophies were awarded for the year.  Austin Jackson received the  "Best Shot" of the afternoon trophy and  Maddy Snow was awarded The Gary Mayrick Cup for Most Promising Young Player.
