Bretforton are still struggling to find their feet as they try to reform in this important  season – although not through lack of effort or commitment, luck just does not seem to be on their side at the moment.

The two teams swapped positions in the table after this result & this sees the pink ladies drop to second bottom.  There were however, plenty of positives to be taken from this game.  With several of the girls playing in new positions a result here was always going to be tricky but the girls must find a way to get back to their winning ways and also to keep smiling!

Player of the match Amy Pinkney was tireless on the right and linked really well with Danni Cox to cause Chippenham problems with their pace.  Brets job was made all the harder when stalwart left back Heather Carr was forced from the pitch in the first half with a nasty injury.  Sophie Hamilton stepped up and took over the position for the rest of the game and was an able replacement.  Although another heavy defeat for the defence to take but no goals were conceded from short corners which is another plus.

Bret did make life hard for themselves at times and it is also fair to say that – although having most of the 50/50 decisions go their way and a bit of luck on their side – Chippenham appeared to want this game a little more than Bret.

With thanks to Julie Stowe, John and Les for umpiring and their supporters coming out in such horrendous conditions.  Next week sees probably one of the toughest games of the season, an away trip to Hereford – LOVELY !!!
