The BRT Terry Cup took centre stage in the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination on Sunday.

It was first blood of the season to Black Horse in the clash of the big rivals over Church Hill, with a 3-1 win, Joe Adams, Brendan Hicks and Jordan Street with the goals. Whilst the majority of teams safely negotiated the proverbial banana skin, Division Three Abbeydale provided the shock result of the day defeating Premier Division Wychbold RBL 3-2. Dave Kendall with two goals and Ryan Jones provided the headlines. It was unlucky thirteen for Division three Winyates Wanderers in the BSA Cup as both  James Pugh and Orrin Pendley scored five goals apiece in Beoley Village’s  13-1 victory as the gulf between Divisions told.

Tom Bennett scored a Hat trick as league newcomers Redbury United won their first game of the season in Division three with a 6-0 win at Rubery Legends.

The league’s top scorer Odane Barnes scored another hat trick as Bartley Green Sunday stay top in the Premier Division with a 4-1 victory over Studley Sporting. Second place Austin Ex Apprentices also hit the goal trail with a 6-0 victory over Hizza United. This coming Sunday the top two face each other in the BRT Terry Cup in another titanic clash of the giants at Illey Lane.
