Southam arrived at Pershore with a full team ready to continue at after last weeks cancelled game, after a slow start Southam took control and break from centre Mudd was continued with a good offload to No 8 Lyne who drove on and the ball was recycled back to scrum half Ellerington who chipped ahead for winger Wright to collect and take the try. Pershore replied with a forwards try, but Southam came back with two penalties from Grindal and Mudd was involved again with a kick and chase try and towards the end of the half winger Thorpe broke with a mazy run to score under the posts, converted by Grindal.

Pershore replied with another forwards try and coversion from there big pack to finish the half at 23 - 12 to Southam.

Southam lost concentration at the restart and a mistake from a scrum allowed a soft try and conversion for Pershore, Southam then buckled down and dominated in the scrum and lineout and turned this domination into points with a blindside break from Ellerington who fed 2nd row Catterall who burst upto the Pershore 22 and laid off to Lyne, Lyne fed back to Catterall who stood up in the tackle, fed centre Burnell to skip through for the try. More pressure from Southam resulted in a 30m penalty for Grindal. Southam then withstood a ten minute attack from Pershore with some rock solid defence, hardly letting Pershore across the gain line, eventually Southam forced the mistake and Mudd secured the ball and Ellerington chipped forward and under pressure from Lyne and Wright the ball came free and Wright hacked through, collected the and scored the try, converted by Grindal. A good 5 point bonus win and with a game in hand, they hope to continue the good form in the rearranged game at home against Old Yardleians next week.
