The three surviving North Midlands clubs in the National Colts Cup all face away ties in the third round next month.

Birmingham Moseley, who won the inaugural National Colts Cup in 1998, will make the short trip to Wolverhampton having enjoyed an easy passage to the third round after Stoke conceded their scheduled second round tie.

Hereford’s reward for beating county rivals Luctonians is a trip to Old Leamingtonians while Birmingham & Solihull, who beat Kidderminster Carolians in the second round, will travel to Burton.

The third round ties are scheduled to be played on the weekend of November 12 and 13.

The National Colts Cup was introduced by the East Midlands RU as part of their centenary celebrations in 1997/98. The National Colts Plate, for sides beaten in the early rounds of the Cup, was introduced two years later.

Both competitions are still organised by East Midlands and are contested by Under-18 teams from clubs across England.
