North Midlands are through to the quarter-finals of this season’s National Under-20 Championship.

Although North Midlands completed their programme in Pool Two last week they had to wait for the outcome of today’s match between East Midlands and Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire at Kettering to discover whether they had done enough to progress to the last eight.

A 31-21 win for East Midlands secured them top place in the pool but ensured that North Midlands qualified as runners-up.

North Midlands will now travel to play Yorkshire in the quarter-finals on the weekend of March 26/27 at a venue to be decided.

East Midlands will have home advantage against Northumberland on the same weekend.
