Impressive debuts by Taylor and Robotham but Dowsett the match winner as Bees finish with only 9 men with Brown and Bailey both see red.

We travelled to Dunkirk on Saturday in one of only a handful of games to beat the weather in the Alliance. Studley started the game very strongly and Brown was unlucky on 15 mins when his effort was well saved by Mountain in the Dunkirk goal.

Adams then had a 25yd effort just clear the bar on 17 mins as the Bees looked to make their dominance count. Jones then got in a great cross on 20 mins but Dowsett put his header over the bar when he should have done better. The Bees with Richard Taylor and Kieran Robotham making their debuts fell behind against the run of play on 25mins when the defence failed to clear and Westcarr had the easy task of putting the ball in the net. This knocked Studley back and Dunkirk began to boss the game. Tony Law almost doubled the lead but Taylor pulled off a good save to deny him.

So 1-0 down at half time but not a bad performance. The second half got underway with Bailey just heading over a Collins cross on 46min.

Dunkirk replied with White just shooting wide when well placed a minute later. The Bees scored the equaliser on 57mins when a good ball by Collins found Brown who went round the keeper and scored. Then a mad five minutes decended with Brown and Tarr being sent off for an off the ball incident on 62mins. Jamie Bailey followed two minutes later for an alleged elbow.

But the 9 men of Studley were not to be denied when on 75 mins Dowsett scored a geat solo goal cutting in from the right hand corner and lashing in a shot across the keeper.

On 80 minutes Maddison had a chance for Dunkirk, but fired his shot just wide.

The game was effectively over on 82 mins when Dowsett came up with another great solo goal which mirrored his first goal but this time from the left hand corner.

My man of the match Dale Edwards.
