Droitwich were out played by a much more experienced side on Saturday conceding 4 tries in the process.

Droitwich fielding a very young side were not short of effort, but ultimately they could not stop Numeaton from attacking them from all parts of the field.
The home side did attack positively in the early stages with hooker Rob Poke & No.8 Alex Saddington to the fore, but were often guilty of not securing the ball at the breakdown allowing the visitors to steal possession and attack. A strong run by the Nuneaton forwards saw them score before extending their lead with a penalty. Bobby Scott-Walker cut the deficit with two well struck penalties before, near half time, Nuneaton scored again.
The second period saw the Spa side up their effort with Dave Ingram and Russ Brown working hard, as was scrum half Steve Poke who made a number of telling runs. Again Droitwich’s problem was failing to hold on to the ball with a turnover in the Nuneaton ‘22’ resulting in a long range try to put the game out of doubt. Droitwich hit back for skipper, James Shewell, to crash over after sustained good work by James Dawson Alex Bull.
