Eager to captain Greater Birmingham

Glenn Eager, the former Camp Hill and Kenilworth back row forward, will come out of retirement captain a Greater Birmingham XV against Birmingham Exiles on Friday August 23 (7.30pm).

The match will mark the official opening of the Exiles new home at Elmdon, the former Birmingham Civil Service ground, where they have re-located after losing their old headquarters at nearby Bickenhill to a runway extension.

The Greater Birmingham side includes a nucleus of players who appeared in last season’s RLF Three Counties Championship plus some emerging youngsters who may well feature in this season’s competition.
