Evesham Rowing Club, founded 1863, is planning to celebrate its 150th year in style. The club has commissioned special commemorative pots for the 2013 editions of its Annual and Sprint Regattas on May 4th and 5th.

On the Saturday 4th, Evesham Regatta offers 1000m races upstream with entries limited to around 200. Sunday 5th’s Sprint will be held over 500m downstream with a maximum entry of around 250. The organisers have closed entries early for several years and recommend early entry if you wish to make sure of a chance to win an ‘Evesham 150’ Pot.

Evesham has restricted the events to those that regularly attract entries. This policy has led to better competition in recent years, with a high average number of crews per event.

Full details of the regatta can be found on the club’s website Junior, Senior and Masters events are offered both days. Adaptive events are offered for the Sprint only.

Six weeks after their regatta the club is holding their 150th Anniversary Ball. It is on Saturday 15th June; 150 years to the day it was founded in 1863. Tickets are on sale now. For more information visit
