The 2nd race of the Autumn Handicap series saw 10 crews take to the water on Sunday at Arden Sailing Club, Defford.
Despite a gentle south westerly breeze, the fleet was split into two flights by officer of the day, Alan Browning. due to the River Avon being in flood with a strong downstream current.
From start to finish, the Enterprise crewed by father and son , Stuart and David Stephen maintained the lead throughout, however after applying  RYA handicaps they came 3rd overall  with David Brydon (Heron) taking 1st and Ralph Evans (Comet) in 2nd. Followed in by more Comets crewed by Julian Taylor, 4th, Keith Hodges, 5th, Terry Andrews, 6th. Emma Williams (Laser) 7th, and Miranda Chance (Comet) in 8th. Malcom Colledge and Keith Stevens ( Comets) did not finish.
