Funding, Funding and More Funding…

For sports and physical activity projects.

 

We want to hear from sports & leisure providers, community organisations and private providers that are looking for funding, to develop sport and physical activity projects, that targets residents in the Wychavon area.

 

Clubs at School Sports Fund

 

  • Wychavon District Council funding aimed at providing a clubs to school link for young people aged 7-14yrs attending schools within the Wychavon area.
  • Projects must offer 6 weeks of quality sports coaching.  
  • £5,000 set aside to run projects from Jan to 24th March 2016.
  • Sports clubs & schools can both apply, but funding is only payable to the sports clubs.
  • Deadline for completed expression of interest forms Thursday 31st Dec 2015.

 

  

  • Sport England/National Lottery funding aimed at providing attractive sporting opportunities for inactive teenagers and young adults aged between 14 and 25yrs.
  • £10,000 set aside to run projects between 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016.
  • Projects must offer 6 weeks of sports or physical activity based in the Wychavon area.
  • Deadline for completed expression of interest forms Monday 11th January 2016.

 

 

 

  • Sport England/National Lottery funding aimed at providing sporting and physical activity projects to adults (primarily 25yrs and over) in the Wychavon area.
  • £50,000 set aside to run projects from the 1st Jan to 30th June 2016.
  • Projects must offer between 6 and 12 sessions of sports or physical activity sessions.
  • No set deadline for expression of interest forms, once the funding is gone its gone!

 

 

Previous projects have included, dance for dementia, tennis, rowing, martial arts, fitness sessions, dragon boating, parkour, sailing, rock climbing, golf , canoeing, archery, and belly dancing.

 

Sportivate and Get Wychavon Active projects don’t need to be just one sport either, it be a mixture of sessions e.g. Week 1 tennis, week 2 zumba, week 3, dragon boating etc.

Eligible items can include coaching/instructor fees, facility hire, marketing, training etc.
