The cloudless blue sky that heralded Sunday morning gave way to heavy cloud and a strong cold blustery north easterly wind, at times gusting to 20 mph!

Only a handful of brave souls braved the weather to take part in race two of the Autumn handicap. A tricky start saw both Ralph Evans (Solo) and Stuart Stephens (Comet) cross the line early and have to return, giving the Enterprise helmed by Niall Campbell with crew Catherine, an early lead – which they built-up  over the following five laps, to win  the race. Exciting sailing to watch from the comfort and warmth of the club house and energetic and enjoyable sailing for those on the water.

Our current season finishes on 27th November 2016 and restarts Sunday 4th March 2017 - for more information about ASC and learning to sail please visit out website www.ardensc.org.uk
