Max Hill has come through the rigorous selection procedures of the England Under 18 squad and has been chosen to represent England Counties at the forthcoming Hartpury Festival. Max is due to put on the famous white shirt for the first time against France at 7.30pm on 28th March at the Hartpury College complex, following the league match between Hartpury and Loughborough Colleges – refreshments and a bar are available. As part of the festival, France play Ireland on Wednesday 1st April, then England play the final game against Ireland on Saturday 4th April at 11.00am.

Meanwhile, brother Ted also progresses within the Under 16 age group. He will captain the Midlands against London and the South East at York before going on to the Wellington Festival on the 5th April, where the Midlands Under 16s play Italy Under 17s. On 8th April they travel to take on Wales, then host France on 11th April. The cut for the national side is then made on 13th April before a full international against Wales on the 19th

The news has delighted all at Malvern RFC, where both brothers learned their rugby skills and where father Vince played for many years. All good wishes go to the lads and it’s hoped that many from the club will make the short trip to Hartpury to support Max.
