Unbeaten OL's, currently 3rd in the league, came to a crunching halt in their season at home this Saturday. In atrocious conditions, Kenilworth playing against the wind, beat them comprehensively in the 1st half then went on to close out the game. Great win away.

Callum Martin 1

Ollie Jones 2

Harvey Joy

This was a great team effort by Kenilworth who played the conditions really well. In the first half taking the game to Ol's and disrupting their back and out muscling the forwards in the break down. All set pieces worked well for the Kens and the effort paid off when a superb move set Callum loose down the wing after 13 mins. 5 Nil no conversion.

OL's kept kicking using the wind, but on occasions it went out of play past the dead ball line. All the way back to the centre for a scrum, Kens Ball! The Kens really starved Ol's of possession and kept the ball tight round the fringes. This worked well and disrupted OL's, so that when the ball was released to the backs they often made good ground.

On 25 mins a scrum on the Ol's 22 was taken blind and after 3 phases Kens broke over to score in the centre. Olly in under the posts. Harv conversion 12 Nil. In the final 7 mins of the half Kenilworth came close to scoring again, but the final pass was not caught in the wind. Close!

In the 2ns half OL's came out with different direction and started to play as Kens had in the 1st half. Keeping the ball tight and making breaks around the scrum. This put the Kens under quite a bit of pressure and one period at 6 mins in resulted in 5 Penalties to the Ols and one Kenilworth man in the bin. Still Ol's could not break through and Kens cleared well down the pitch with the wind.

With Jamie back on after the Yellow Card 16 mins in, Kenilworth started to impose some order. Long kicks to touch were really draining the Ol's and Kenilworth came close to scoring again. Stout defence By Ol's kept them out, but it cost them a Prop to a yellow card and Scrums went un- contested for a while.

Eventually, Leamington could defend no more and Olly broke over for his 2nd try after  33 mins. 22 Nil no conversion.

With only 4/5 mins left Ken relaxed and Ol's started a great move from the kick off to win a consolation try. Not converted game end 22-5.
