Welcome back to all players and teams that have stayed with us, our match officials and a big warm welcome to our new teams. Let’s hope we can all enjoy the season.

Today was the first games in our diaries for the 2016-17 season which saw 6 games played and 47 goals scored.

Austin Ex Apprentices took no time in carrying on in old traditions by winning again and scoring a bag full of goals, 22 to be precise against South Redditch. Andy Nicol scored 9, Liam Spink scored 4 and Craig Spink scored 3 and the other goals were shared amongst the team.

Golden Cross AFC were also on the wining team today by beating new boys S O Goose Greenlands 8-0. Mark Wilkes got a hat-trick and Tobias Teague and Mark Styler both scored 2, with another goal from Rhys Whitehouse.

New Woodland Cottage beat Lodge Park in a great game. New Woodland Cottage went in 3-0 at half time, Lodge Park scored early in the second half and continued to fight back bringing the game to 4-2 however Lodge Park could not keep them at bay and saw the game finish 8-2.
