Leamington III (184) lost to Broadway (187-6) by 4 wickets.

On their visit to fellow strugglers, Broadway, Leamington paid the price for being bowled out too cheaply (184) and too quickly (36 overs).

This allowed Broadway to pursue their target at a measured pace.  They had the added bonus of an additional 48 runs coming from extras.  Only while the spin-pairing of Matt Sellars (2-25) and Wayne Killian (3-27) were bowling their allotted 10 overs in tandem was Broadway’s stately progress challenged.

“JP” Powell (34 not out) appropriately finished the match by launching a massive shot, for 6, in to the woods.  J

ames Cowan (46) had, once again, got the Leamington innings off to a good start, but after that only Wayne Killian (49) made a significant contribution.  Richard Pedley was Broadway’s leading bowler with 4-41 from his eight overs.
