Littleton moved to the top of the table with a 1 - 0 win over visitors Hinckley.  This was their 5th consecutive victory, and completed an exhausting week.
The visitors are a phoenix club arising out of the demise of Hinckley United who were formley a Conference North side.  They are well supported and brought a sizeable number with them.
Littleton defended against a stiff wind in the first half, and were under much pressure, but a composed performance by HAYDN WHITCOMBE in goal and resolute defending kept the score level at half-time.
Littleton came out for the second half all guns blazing, and might have score two in the first 5 mins.  Firstly a TOM ALLARD cross was met by a WILL GAYTON header which flew over the bar. Immediately after a GAYTON centre was met by an ALLARD header with the same result over the bar.
On 65 min Hinckley had a golden chance their striker somehow managing to put the ball out of the ground some 2 yards out, and right in front of the goal.
In the next minute Littleton scored.  A goal kick from WHITCOMBE found GAYTON wide on the left.  He cut in and hit a powerful shot, which the keeper could only parry into the net.

On 75 mins Littleton had the chance to seal the game JAMIE CLARKE was brought down in the box. However the resultant penalty was saved by the keeper.
Despite pressure Littleton hung on to gain maximum points.
On Sat Littleton are away to Atherstone K.O. 3.00pm.
