Littletons long unbeated run came to an end at 5 acres on Saturday as they slipped to a 2 - 1 home defeat to Alvis.
This was classic smash and grab win as both goals were scored very late in the 89th and 97th min and Littleton were left to rue a whole catalogue of missed opportunities.
Littleton opened very strongly and subjected the visitors to a constant bombardment.  They played some very nice football as they cut through the visitors defence at will, and it seemed only a matter of time before they scored.  It actually took 28 mins.  A teasing cross by GAYTON from the right was headed powerfully past his own keeper by the Alvis full back.
However there were signs of life from the visitors WHITCOMBE in the home goal forced to save at full stretch.
Immediately after the interval a long kick from WHITCOMBE found GAYTON clear, his powerful close range shot was somehow saved by the keeper.
Then came the event which epitomised Littletons day SEAN COOKE burst through their defence into the box.  Out came the keeper, dived at his feet and brought him down. Everybody on both sides expected a penalty and maybe a sending off. In the event to everyone's amazement the referee booked COOKE
As Littleton tried for the second the visitors began to believe they could get something out of the game, and pushed men forward.  However the result exceeded their wildest expectations as they made their way up the A46 will all 3 points.
Littleton are away next week at Pilkingon K.O. 3.00pm
