Worcester Wolves are delighted to announce the signing of 6‘8” power forward Pavol Losonsky. Pavol joins the Wolves for the coming season and will ‘team up’ once again with former teammate Jay Couisnard.

Coach James said” I’ve tried to sign Pavol for the past couple of seasons and I’m grateful to the Wolves board for making it possible.

Pavol is another smart and quality player that we have added to our roster and a player who knows how to win. I believe that the best is still yet to come from Pavol and I’m looking forward to him showing his true qualities with the Wolves and within our system. Pavol is a great addition to our team”.

Both Losonsky and Couisnard played for the Leicester Riders in their triple title winning campaign in 2012-13 season when Losonsky averaged 13 points and 6 rebounds per game. This past season whilst at Leicester, Losonsky a Slovakian international, played limited minutes, yet still averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds per game .

Pavol had this to say about becoming a Wolf ”I am very excited about joining Wolves, also can´t wait to play with my former teammate Jay. I am returning to a league, which I already know and understand, and I am thankful that Wolves are giving me an opportunity to show what I am really capable of. For me it will be third year in the BBL, but new team, new place and coach, but I am ready for the new challenge and my goals stay the same and those are winning trophies. Hopefully Worcester´s fans are just as excited about the new season as I am”.

Managing Director Mick Donovan “throughout the summer, we have adopted a creative, yet thoughtful approach to our recruitment and we believe that Pavol will compliment the other new recruits. We hope to be announcing another significant and exciting signing in the coming week”
