King’s efforts to get their well drained pitches ready to receive two Upton’s teams were thwarted after 33 minutes of play when a freak prolonged thunderstorm deluged the area with hailstones followed by a torrential downpour which flooded all three pitches.

Both referees and the players raced for cover in the atrocious conditions and after the storm had abated soon reached the correct decision that both matches should be abandoned with no score in the First team match and Kings 2nds were leading by 14 pts to 5 pts

Worcester Warriors and England U20s centre Max Stelling will be providing two coaching sessions for the club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and there is also a Floodlit veterans game v Redditch fixture scheduled for this Wednesday KO 7.30.p.m. (subject to pitch inspection)

Kings are without a league fixture on Saturday and hope to arrange a suitable home fixture which would KO at 2.15 p.m.
