Under 18s

Banbury Under 18 Colts hosted local rivals Shipston on Sunday and despite some rustiness from lack of matches, won well 52 - 7, scoring eight tries.

The first try was scored by Alex Caviezel Cox, quickly follow by Sean Hampson.  Two further first half tries by Ed Harrison and Tom Chiles meant Banbury 26 - 0 at half time. After the break Banbury maintained pressure and Connor Triggs scampered over from scrum half, and Doug Backhouse finished a forward drive.  Rhys Andrews scored for Banbury, but Shipston's never say die attitude earned them a try near the end of the half.  There was just time for Callum Horne to go over to take the score to fifty points for the home side.

Under 16s

Banbury Under 16s travelled to top East Midlands side Ampthill on Sunday and suffered their first defeat of the season by 39-12. Ampthill opened the scoring but Banbury came back with a William Hopkins try, converted from distance by Luca Catania. Missed tackles plus expansive play by Ampthill saw the home side 19-7 to the good at half time. As Ampthill rolled on seemingly endless replacements Banbury legs tired. Ampthill scored 4 more second half but Banbury dug deep to set up Reece Lines for a drive over the line. 39-12 at the close.
