MIDLANDS pair Staffordshire and Warwickshire both face away trips in the quarter-finals of the National Under 20 Shield on Sunday February 9.

Staffordshire will travel to Gosford All Blacks RFC in Kidlington to face Oxfordshire having finished as runners-up to Durham in their pool last month.

Warwickshire recovered from a heavy defeat by Oxfordshire in their opening pool match in November to beat both Somerset and Oxford University and secure their place in the quarter-finals.

Warwickshire now face a long trip to West Hartlepool TDSOB for their quarter-final against Durham.

The winners of the Durham v Warwickshire tie will also be at home in the semi-finals against Middlesex on February 23 with the winners of the Oxfordshire v Staffordshire quarter-final facing an away semi-final against Surrey.

The final will be played at Coventry’s Butts Park Arena on Sunday March 16.
