Division two saw new leaders this week after early season pace setters Queens Head lost 4-2 to New Woodland Cottage who secured their first win of the season, with a superb hat trick from Ryan Butler and a long range effort from Stuart Byng.

A fine team performance saw Winyates Wanderers go top with a 5-0 win at Evesham United and Frankley Athletic were another team securing their first league victory of the season.  Last week’s match winner  Richard Sullivan scored four more as OKH Sporting Dynamo destroyed Redditch Cross 15-0 and Sporting Club Redditch were another side celebrating their first win of the season winning 5-1 in fine style against previously unbeaten Abbeydale.

Andy Nicol was again in the goals for Premier Division Leaders Austin Ex Apprentices, scoring twice in their 2-1 victory over South Redditch and a tactical change saw Translift Bendi come from a goal behind at home to Wycbold RBL. After Brett Mould’s first half opener, defender Dean Brierley was moved in to midfield and became the match winner with both goals for the home side, with the winner coming in the last few minutes.

In Division One Mayfly had the better of the first half, but Millfield Rovers got their act together with a strong second half performance, where Kieran Waldron grabbed the headlines with a hat trick in a 6-2 scoreline. Matt Layton and Ben Dipple each scored hat tricks as Alcester Town got their season up and running with a 9-1 victory over Beoley Village.
