With 2015 now firmly behind Team BRIT, the preparation towards the race outfit's forthcoming campaign continues at a fast pace.
For 2016, the Newbury-based race outfit now has the assistance of Slide Sports Race Engineering as their new techincal partner, which is located in Hixon, Staffordshire.
Slide Sports has varied experience in multiple disciplines, which also includes the Volkswagen Racing Cup, as the firm is one of the leading UK specialists with current V.A.G technology.
As Team BRIT will continue to use their VW Golf GTi this year, the collaboration with Slide Sports will prove to be invaluable in many aspects towards their new challenge for 2016 and beyond.
Mark Jenkins, who has worked in Formula One alongside many well-known drivers, is the mastermind behind this race-winning operation, who also have secured success in GT and 24-hour endurance racing.
"I'm looking forward to it, as we've previously worked with drivers who weren't servicemen, but had disability issues through motorcycle accidents, and we've also helped to develop hand controls," explained Jenkins, who is looking forward to working with the team.
"24 Hour racing is ardous on the mechanics, team and the drivers, especially with their abilities or disabilities.
"I'm quite looking forward to it, as well as introducing more engineering into their skills, to help to try and push them even further."
Team BRIT would like to thank Richard Tovey and Newbridge Motorsport for their assistance in the team's car racing debut last year, and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.
