Old Leamingtonians Ladies progressed to the third round of the cup on Sunday, beating Chester Devas 27 - 0 after a long bus ride north.

Old Leams started brightly, with new players Ebony Bailey and Nathalie Mohr coming very close to scoring, but Chester were able to dig deep to hold them off. Captain Caz Spence eventually found a way through the defence, scoring a try which was then converted by fly half Sarah Munday.

Natalie Mohr then scored her first try for Old Leams in the corner of the pitch, which was closely followed by her second try in the opposite corner. Her two tries, along with some strong running, earned her the 'back of the match' award. Old Leams spent the rest of the half camped in the Chester 22, but were unable to score again.

After the break Chester came back stronger, increasing the pressure on Old Leams. Fortunately Old Leams were up to the challenge, with some excellent positive play from 'forward of the match' Lorna Holloway ensuring that the team kept up their momentum.

The first try of the second half was scored by Tatiana Cutts, who had moved from her ussual flanker position to outside centre. She was able to weave her way through the Chester back line to score under the posts.

The game was rounded off with a second try for Caz Spence, sealing the win for Old Leams and ensuring that the party bus was rocking all the way home.
