Five tries, three conversions and a penalty by a well drilled Leamington fifteen committed OL’s to relegation in a game that was dominated by Leamington for long periods while OL’s disappointed.

With a strong wind present neither side decided to use it to advantage but chose to play a running game that suited the Leamington three-quarters more favourably than the home side, and with the Leamington pack generally outplaying the home side, the attacking advantages fell more to Leamington than the home side.

The half time score was 10 points to nil in favour of Leamington and the second half saw the visitors add three more tries to secure a bonus point.

OL’s were hardly in the game but for 15 minutes of the second half when they started to put Leamington under pressure and from being 20 points to nil down, the pressure was converted into points by two superbly taken tries by Colt winger Rory Sinnett.  The first when he took the ball on the 22 meter line and broke through four Leamington defenders to touch down in the corner and the second from a well caught high ball deflected by a Leamington defender to again touch down in the corner.  It looked at this point that OL’s would cvome back into the game but they again went off the boil to allow Leamington to close out the game with two more converted tries.

The last league game is away to Malvern on 11th April, kick off 3.0pm.
