Players from across all sections of the rugby club gave up their Saturday morning to join newly elected chairman Charlie Sabin and Vice Chair Phil Eales for the NatWest RugbyForce.
The RFU in partnership with NatWest launched NatWest RugbyForce last year, the programme is designed to provide an opportunity to welcome players, members & volunteers for a day of DIY to help renovate their club.
Newly elected Chairman Charlie said "It was great so see every section of the club lending a hand today, we are very proud of our facilities at Old Leamingtonians". "Our club is a big part of the local community, hosting 'Rugby for Heroes' a charity tournament which is held in May and 'Warwick Touch' for the 02touch league thoughout the summer.” Days like these really do bring the whole club together, we celebrated our successful day with a BBQ in the sunshine to thank everyone for their hard work.
Charlie was not the only newly elected member at Old Leams - at the AGM on the 19th June new captains were elected for the mens section:
Tomas Heslop 1st XV Captain with David Canning 1st XV Vice Captain
Bradley James 2nd XV Captain with Harvey Broadbent 2nd XV Vice Captain
Jamie Brown 3rd XV Captain with Cawail Wong 3rd XV Vice Captain
Pre -season training for the mens section will start on Tuesday 24th June at 7pm.
Caroline Spence will leading OLS ladies forward for her 3rd season as captain, pre-season for the ladies will start on Wednesday 2nd July 7.30pm. Anyone wishing to join the ladies section please contact us on this email address;
