The two day event attracted several Octavian Droobers members. At the middle distance race staged at Pwll Ddu, three women took top three positions in their age class:  Kirsten Strain W21 was 1st on the 4.2km course in 31.14mins. Anne Straube was 2nd on the 3.6km course in 35.43mins and Liz Phillips was 3rd on the 3km course in 32.42mins and young Max Straube-Roth M10 won the Yellow course in 22.43mins. 

On Day 2 at the classic race in runnable woodland on Sugar Loaf Mountain, near Abergavenny, Harrison McCartney M18 was top in the M21 class taking 67.08mins to find 30 controls on the 10.4km course with 550metres of climb. Club chairman, Liz Phillips W50 was also 1st on her 4.5km course in 48.39mins.. Kirsten Strain was 2nd W21 on her 6.7km course with 285 metres of climb and Anne Straube was also 2nd on her 5.8km course in 54.54mins. Mike Hampton was 4th on the M70 3.5km course in 40.49mins. A time of 45.22mins put Bruce Bryant M55 in top place on the Short Blue 4.5km course. 

This Saturday at the Memorial Park, Coventry, the club are organising  the first Schools Orienteering Championships for primary and secondary schools in the Coventry, Warwickshire, Solihull and surrounding areas. Twelve schools have entered pupils. This event is being run alongside the regular Saturday morning event and the club will be welcoming new and experienced orienteers to run around the park on the 4 planned courses.
