WYCHAVON PARISH GAMES 2015

About 70 people from all over Wychavon were at Lower Moor Village Hall on Thursday for the Presentation Evening for this year's Parish Games.

The runners up and winners in all the individual events were first presented with their awards either by the event sponsors or by members of Severn Trent Water who assist Wychavon Sport financially.

The main awards were then presented by Cllr Val Wood, Chair of Wychavon District Council.  The results of these were eagerly awaited, as they are not disclosed until the night.

The Small Parish Award was won by Wick, while the Richard Preece Cup for the best medium parish was won by Hill & Moor (last year's overall winners).

The Award of Merit, which goes to a Parish which has entered every event but not actually won any of them, went to Wyre Piddle.

Eckington were runners up with 150, a score which has won them the overall shield in the past.

However no one could compete with Bretforton, who won the coveted Shield with a record breaking score of 189 points.
