The Presentation Evening for the 2014 Wychavon Parish Games took place last Wednesday at the Bell Inn in Eckington.

Attended by about 100 people, the winners and runners up in each event were presented with their trophies by Ed O'Brien, Don Elt and Tim Durrant from Severn Trent, who have supported Wychavon Sport financially this year.

The overall trophies were presented by Cllr Lynne Duffy, chair of Wychavon District Council.

The results had not been announced in advance, and there was considerable anticipation waiting for the overall winners to be announced.  Runners up this year were Eckington, who had been overall winners for the last two years.  Overall winners for the first time were Hill and Moor, and much credit has to go to Michelle Orgill and Darren Selvey, the Parish organisers for the hard work they have put into Hill & Moor's entry over the last few years.

The Small Parishes trophy was won by Wick, and the Medium Parishes trophy was won by Bretforton.  The Award of Merit was won by Wyre Piddle.

The AGM will take place on Monday 26th January 2015 at the Civic Centre, and it is hoped that as many Parishes will be represented.
