The Presentation Evening for the 2016 Wychavon Parish Games took place on Thursday evening, hosted by Bretforton Sports Club, overall winners of the 2015 Games.   This was attended by Cllr Mrs Frances Smith, Chair of Wychavon District Council and her husband.  Many of the event sponsors were also present, as was Ed O'Brien from Severn Trent, sponsors of Wychavon Sport.
Wick again won the Small Parishes award, with Wyre Piddle, who were a small Parish until last year, taking the Richard Preece Trophy for the highest placed medium parish.
The Award of Merit cup was won by Honeybourne, who, for the first time, took part in all 15 events, but did not win any event.
The overall result was the closest it has been for many years, with Eckington finishing as overall runners up with 161 points.  However, with 164 points, Bretforton finished as overall winners.
At the end of the Evening Cllr Mrs Smith presented a carriage clock to Gary Robinson, who recently retired, having been involved with the Parish Games since their inception in 1978."
