Last week for win/lose in 2015 so everyone must remember what to do next week!

In Division One 1st XIs, leaders Pershore bounced back with a vengeance from last week’s gung-ho performance and poor Redditch were the whipping boys as the Champions in waiting piled up 281-6 and then restricted their visitors to 172. So Pershore stay over 50 points ahead as Droitwich lost at Bewdley with the home side’s Paul Beard scoring 96.

Nomads are back in second after last week’s defeat and they also came back to form in a rush as they shot Belbroughton, last week’s David to Pershore’s Goliath, out for 109 and then Nomads knocked these off in 12 overs.

Bewdley are 4th, 9 points behind Droitwich who trail Nomads by 12 in the battle for 2nd spot with Nomads having to face both these sides in the win/lose/draw run in.

Colwall have won again, this time chasing down Pedmore’s massive score of 292-8 which included 120 from the “occasional” Paul Pickering as his side slid to defeat again and are now still 15 points from safety.

Burghill went to Bromyard and left with the win points as the home side have just one to show for their efforts and are now deep in the relegation mire as Oldswinford had the best result from the bottom half of the table as they beat Hagley in a tense match by 29 runs to climb to 9th place, the first time they have been outside the relegation positions since the halfway point.

Next week Pershore go to Droitwich whilst Redditch receive Nomads and Bewdley visit Bromyard.

In Division Two 1st XIs, Bredon slipped up for the third time, losing at Coombs Wood who had Mike Langford’s 87 to thank for their success which lifts them to within 38 points of the top in what is becoming a race that may well go all the way, having been a foregone conclusion until recently.

Cookley climbed to 4th by beating Wormelow with a mere 87 coming from the bat of Jamien Rudd, who is having a sensational season for them and they are now just 4 points adrift of leaders Bredon. Stourport effectively saw off Dominies challenge for this year with overseas Kevin Renecke scoring a second successive century for them and they are now on 268, just 2 points behind Cookley and 6 behind Bredon and they must play both of the teams ahead of them before the ink is dry on the season.

Feckenham have also overtaken Worcester Dominies by beating Lye, Tom Coulson bagging 5-23. Evesham beat Harborne and Enville beat Malvern in the basement battles.

Next week, the top four all play sides from the bottom half of the table so the potential for banana skins is present before the drama of the Bank Holiday weekend.

In Division Three 1st XIs, leaders Himbleton  beat Alveley thanks to 156 not out from Jon Critchlow, second placed Chaddesley kept up the pressure just 3 points back by beating Claverley and they are level on points with Alvechurch who beat Cleobury.

These three are well ahead of Netherton in 4th, who beat Ross easily, and Bartestree are 5th following a defeat to Rushwick. Finally, Ovs beat Avoncroft despite Dave Elliott’s 5-64.

Next week, Himbleton entertain Cleobury Mortimer, Alvechurch receive Claverley and Chaddesley host Bartestree so the sides that can take 10 wickets may prevail.

Division Four 1st XIs – Kempsey stay 32 points in front but only after a slight wobble against Fiveways O.Es who took 6 wickets in a vain attempt to defend 88.

Barnards Green and Bromsgrove stay 2nd and 3rd respectively after wins over Himley and Harvington, in the latter Barry Hope of Bromsgrove made106.

Kidderminster beat Martley and Hanley Castle beat Old Hill whilst Halesowen thrashed Oldswinford to ease relegation worries.

Division Five 1st XIs – Stourport’s lead came to an end as they and Astwood Bank played an extraordinary short match at Queen Elizabeth’s. the home side were shot out for 47 in under 18 overs with Dennis Freeman taking 6-30 but then captured 8 of the visitors wickets, shared between Mark Gleeson and Alex Cook in just 12 overs.

So Astwood are two points in front with just two rounds to play and the title is surely destined to go to one of these two. West Malvern are 3rd and they overtook Tenbury to get there thanks to Will Lloyd scoring 89 in a 3 wickets win.

Stourbridge beat Barnt Green, Od Elizabethans’ Dave Harris took 6-44 to help his side beat Hallow and in the last match, Redditch won the basement battle with Enville thanks to 94 from Abdul Jabbar and especially 7-24 from Ben Hicklin.

Next week Astwood Bank must entertain Tenbury the early season leaders in what should be a tight match so there may still be hope for Stourport who travel to Barnt Green, again not a certain victory as the club seek success on all four fronts!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the 2nd XIs, Division one leaders Stourport lost for only the second time at home to Bewdley and so the Championship is still alive as Nomads thrashed Belbroughton thanks to 123 scored by Derek Austin. They trail by 28 points but meet on Bank Holiday weekend.

Colwall are third, 40 points behind Nomads after they saw off Pedmore and Hagley stand 4th after a massive score of 404-4 against bottom side Rushwick. For Hagley, Simon Burgess made 151 and James Trinham 127. In the other games, Netherton beat Enville who are 11th and Redditch beat Evesham.

Next week Evesham entertain Stourport and Nomads host Redditch.

In Division two, Pershore 2nds could clinch their divisional title before the 1sts get the Division One crown as they again extended their near season long unbeaten run by beating Harborne thanks to 90 not out from Charlie Norton.

Bromyard are still 58 points back despite winning at Burghill and Droitwich are 3rd, so may get a promotion spot if they hang onto it after they beat Avoncroft.

In the other games, Coombs Wood beat Bredon, Cookley beat Alvechurch thanks to Ben Quinan’s 151 and Lye came out of the bottom two by beating Feckenham

Pershore will be at home to Droitwich next week and Bromyard are at Avoncroft.

In Division three 2nds the leaders Oldswinford stayed 41 points in front by beating Bartestree thanks to 5-61 from Stuart Alston and Wormelow remain in 2nd, beating Bromsgrove with Matt Deem scoring 109.

Kidderminster stay just 3 behind Wormelow, after Tracey Davies took 6-13 to rush Malvern to 37 all out in 18 overs which the Carpetmen exceeded in just over 5.

The other games saw wins for Worcester Dominies over Old Vigornians, Himley who beat Alveley by one wicket and Claverley whose Darren Morris’s 100 enabled them to record a one wicket win at Chaddesley Corbett.

Next week Oldswinford face Kidderminster and Wormelow go to Claverley.

Division four 2nds leaders Five Ways stay 20 points in front of Kempsey who beat them by 8 wickets with Mohammed Fayyaz bagging 5-25. Kempsey have overtaken Himbleton who lost to Barnards Green and Halesowen are 4th after a win over Oldswinford.

In the other games, Hanley Castle beat Old Hill and Ross on Wye beat Martley.

Fiveways are without a game next week and Kempsey must go to Halesowen.

Division five 2nds Stourport beat Astwood Bank with Mark Dearlove scoring 85 and now lead Tenbury by 29 points as the season nears its’ end with two games left.

Tenbury beat West Malvern and Stourbridge had Imran Aslam to thank for taking 5-35 in their win at Barnt Green.

Hallow lost to Old Elizabethans and Redditch won the basement battle with fellow new boys Enville.

Division Six, leaders Cutnall Green beat Ombersley by just three wickets but that was enough for them to claim the title with two games left.

Harborne had a winning draw with Highley after Usman Sajid hit 114 not out and John McMillan added 108. Birlingham lost to Nomads who had Paul Gardner’s 94 as the largest contribution and Romsley got the better of the draw with Netherton to condemn them to last spot.

Division Seven North leaders Droitwich lost the vital match at Coombs Wood (actually at Cutnall Green) so their rivals have taken over 19 clear with two rounds to go. Stone are third after a win over Fiveways and had James Batsford to thank for his 129 not out. Romsley conceded to Cookley and the other games were drawn, Harborne ending up well ahead of Bewdley and Belbroughton failing to take the final Pedmore wicket as Ian Hipkiss scored 146

Division Seven South – Pershore stay 38 points in front of Worcester, beating Kidderminster and Worcester beat Evesham.

Worcester entertain Pershore next week so hope to close the gap, however, Pershore only need  a draw to claim the title and play bottom side Bredon in the final match the week after.

In the other matches, Ombersley stayed 3rd by defeating Bredon and Bartestree remained 4rth after winning at Droitwich.
