Warwickshire Women - Tackling Life with Rugby Skills

RFU coaches will be running an open day for new and inexperienced women who are looking to get involved in sports this Spring.

This event, Pitch Up and Play is open to anyone 18 and above who is curious about Rugby and Sports in general. You don't have to have played sport before, you just need to be interested, open minded and willing to give it a go. This will be an opportunity to try the sport in a safe and conditioned environment and participants will only have to do as much as they are happy and comfortable with. There will be series of non-contact games which you will be encouraged to take part in which would be fun and enjoyable whilst improving fitness levels

The aim of running such events is to raise the awareness of the women's game within the county and to promote participation. In recent years, Warwickshire has produced a couple of Midland players and without running such events to attract potential new players, it is nearly impossible to maintain and retain playing numbers.

The event will be held at Kenilworth RFC on Sunday 6th April, starting at 10:30am. Please email to register your interest
